Raised under evergreen trees and the drizzle-dreamy Pacific Northwest skies, I’ve always had a deep ache to understand the natural world and express ideas through storytelling. After graduating with a degree in English, I became a teacher to share my writing passion. Teaching is where I learned how to manage projects, engage an audience, and break down complex topics into clear, concise nuggets of information. And while I am no longer a teacher, I believe that the skills I obtained in the classroom only made me better at what I do. Name a more skeptical audience to market to than a middle schooler. I’ll wait.

Outside of writing, I also love to travel. I have visited thirty-one countries, lived on four continents, speak three languages, and now split my time between the US and the UK, where I attend Bath Spa University’s Masters in Nature and Travel Writing program. And while I traveled, I wrote. I have about two hundred micro memoirs, which I am currently turning into a book and a travel podcast.
